Who we are
Outdoors Papa was founded in 2020 by Pravin, an outdoor enthusiast who started the site to share real-world camping and hiking experience and the gear that holds up on actual trips. Today our editorial team includes contributors with hands-on experience in camping, hiking, fishing, and watersports.
How we review gear
Our “Tested & Reviewed” buyer guides follow a consistent process:
- Research the category and shortlist products with strong user feedback and spec sheets
- Compare products using comparison tables (weight, materials, use case, price tier)
- Where possible, test gear in real outdoor conditions before recommending it
- Update guides with a visible “Last Updated” date when products or rankings change
We prioritize accuracy and honesty — including when a product category has trade-offs or when canned oxygen, training masks, and medical devices serve different purposes entirely.
